Rules For Having a Custom Bobblehead Made For You

There will be times in the history of your organization or maybe in your life as a person that you will need to have a custom bobblehead created especially according to your particular specifications. Here are some tips that you should bear in mind when trying to have a custom bobblehead made the way you like.
First, remember that to have a custom bobblehead made for you, you need to know how much is the minimum volume that the custom bobblehead manufacturer requires in order to fill your order. This is because it costs money to develop the bobblehead based on a photo or drawing that you submitted – a bobblehead is a three-dimensional interpretation of a two-dimensional image (such as that in a photo or drawing) so you can probably imagine how difficult it is for the artist to come up with a 3-D custom bobblehead version that you will like. Then the manufacturer will need to create a good mold of your custom bobblehead design and will require use of the right materials so that the final prototype looks excellent and has no flaws. To get the best results, the manufacturer might request for photos of the head of the person to be copied from various angles (meaning, from the front, back and sides of the head) so that the artist can interpret better the proportions of the head.
Second, when you do submit a minimum bulk order, you will find that the cost per custom bobblehead will go down too. Basically, the more you order, the lower the cost per custom bobblehead. You may be told by the manufacturer that volume ranging from 500 up to 3,000 pieces still constitute the low-end of the volume range (meaning, there are clients known to order much, much more than that per order.) You will probably have a hard time finding a custom bobblehead manufacturer who will agree to produce just one or a handful of the custom bobblehead you came up with. If you did, the cost would probably be so high as to be impractical. For instance, one sources says a single figurine would be priced at $300 upwards if you ordered just one, plus production time may last from three to six months for that one figurine alone.
Third, the quality of the custom bobblehead and the minimum order will often be based on the type of materials that you request your custom bobblehead to be made of. Plastic, surprisingly, is more expensive than other types of materials because to make the plastic custom bobblehead the manufacturer has to produce a very costly metal mold on which the bobblehead will be based. This is why to order plastic custom bobbleheads you may have to meet the minimum volume order of around 25,000 pieces up to 50,000 pieces before the manufacturer agrees to produce your choice of custom bobblehead.
It is often advisable to get a free quote before you commit to an order. You might also want to see prototypes of work the manufacturer has done in the past for other clients. This helps you see how good the manufacturer is at this kind of artistry and gives you more assurance the manufacturer can do the work you want (especially if you are trying to meet a deadline for production of the bulk order of custom bobblehead images.) |
