Of all the beautiful islands to be found off of the coast of Scotland, the Isle of Skye is one of the most famous. A large number of people choose to visit the island because it offers great climbing and walking. Out of season, you can probably get away with a more "spur of the moment" decision but it will still pay you to make a phone call a few days ahead to double check.
