Many people keep different things in their wallets, some useful, some not! So what exactly do you keep in your boss leather wallet?
Identification: Many people carry photo ID in their wallets. The usual one to carry is a drivers license for obvious identification purposes and while driving. Some people choose to carry their voter's registration card, social security card and many other forms of ID. It may be worth thinking about what you actually need to carry, rather than keeping them in the wallet just in case. If your boss leather wallet is stolen, the thief has all of your identification.
Credit cards: The obvious thing to have in the wallet is your credit cards. If you have more than one credit card, rather than carrying them all, only carry one. This way, if your wallet is stolen, you only have one card to report as stolen or missing.
ATM cards and debit cards: Most people do carry these in their wallets. There is a risk however, as there is little to no fraud protection on them. In the event of someone talking your card and using it, you will not be protected and may have to pay back what you haven't used. If you are not going to need any instant cash, it may be worthwhile leaving these until you actually need them.
Membership cards: Many people use reward cards and membership cards that offer discounts. If you are using the cards often then it is worthwhile keeping them in your wallet. If not, then see if you actually even use the store. If you don't, either keep the cards at home or throw them away.
Cash: Wallets are usually used primarily for credit cards and for cash. Lots of people like to carry cash in case of emergencies. It is always worth having some cash available, that way if you are making a purchase where it is too small for the credit card, you can use your cash instead.
Coupons: Carrying coupons in your boss leather wallet is always handy, especially if you know you are going to buy what your coupon is for. Make your shopping list and then see if you find coupons to make the item cheaper. Keep them in your wallet for safe keeping!
Receipts: Men are no different than women; they hoard receipts! It is easy to have lots of receipts taking up all the space in your boss leather wallet. Make sure you clean out your receipts, figure out which you need and which you don't. The ones you want to keep, put them in a file at home rather than bulking out your boss leather wallet! |
