Affiliate and niche marketing are buzz words in to-day´s online business. And the fact is that many people have made a living from offering all kind of products to their list of buyers.
The problem, however, is to find those buyers, who are specifically interested in exactly those products you are offering in front of them. Converting rates are extremely depending on your ability to separate your list into many different lists, each of which with a specific topic, which is just the one your readers have “told you” is the one they like to learn more about.
The phrase: “the money is in the list” is true, but only to certain extend. Many people have struggled months and even years to build a list, but if that list contains only leads of any kind from different sources, you can be certain, that only a very few, if any at all, will have intension to buy what you offer from a niche with a small targeted audience.
Niche marketing can be very lucrative, especially if you can find niches with none, or very little competition, but you need to find the right people to get response to your offers.
But how can you get people “to tell you” about their special hobbies or interests?
Well, I have found that it is possible to ask your list of people, what they do want of information, or what their biggest concern is, and a certain number will tell you, but then you have to act quickly in order to meet their expectations.
A far better way is to offer them a wide range of temptations for signing up to an equal number of different lists. And here is my point with this article.
During the economical crisis I have found that more and more marketers are offering extremely good products with high discounts, just for keeping up with the still growing competition. And if you look around you can find some of those as informative e-books with Private Label Rights (PLR) or with free distribution rights, which you can offer your readers for free, just for signing up to your list.
If you set up an auto responder account and a squeeze page for each e-book about each special topic you soon will build a separate list for each topic or niche. Then you can offer those people products, which exactly meet their concern, and your converting rate for your effort will go up.
You only need to make your work once, and if you arrange for traffic to your index page with an outline of all the different books you are giving away for free, you certainly will discover, that your visitors are “telling you” what their concern is about.
I have just done that under a directory named “papa” and it seems to get me some good results, which I believe, will continue to grow in the near future.
